FI(H) Recurrency
EASA FI Refresher Seminar (Revalidation or Renewal of the FI license)
If you want to revalidate your FI rating, you must meet two of the three requirements listed below. Specific other conditions apply for a renewal (after expiration).
REQUIREMENTS REVALIDATION (Two of the following three requirements must be met)
- At least 50 hours of flight time as a flight instructor during the validity period of the rating
- Participation in a refresher seminar
- Passing an Assessment of Competence within the last 12 months before the rating expires (mandatory for every second revalidation)
REQUIREMENTS RENEWAL (Both requirements must be met)
- Participation in a refresher seminar within the preceding 12 months
- Passing an Assessment of Competence

- Standardization of teaching methods
- Raising awareness of current topics
- Refreshing and improving teaching techniques and knowledge
