FI MOU(H): Module 2, unlimited
After completing this training course, you will be able to impart the theoretical knowledge and techniques required for mountain flying. You are fully aware of the privileges associated with this rating as well as your responsibilities and duties as a mountain flight instructor.
Requirements
- At least 1500 hours total flight experience on helicopters
- At least 1500 approaches with landings at an altitude of over 1100 meters AMSL, of which at least 300 landings must be over 2700 meters AMSL
- At least 200 hours of experience as a flight instructor on helicopters
- Entrance examination with a dedicated HSA mountain flight instructor in the form of a MOR check flight
THEORY COURSE (1 DAY)
- Refresher of the theory from the MOU FI course module 1
- Discussion of approach options in different wind situations at mountain landing sites
PRACTICE
The training consists of at least 60 approaches at a minimum of 25 different mountain landing sites, of which at least 20 must be above 2700 meters.
The practical training focuses on the elements necessary to prepare you for the flight and the procedures for approach, landing, departure and emergencies.
